Post-Purchase Questions & Behaviour

What are examples of post-purchase questions?

Post-purchase questions are meant to find out how the customer's experience actually went after they bought something - not just whether the sale happened, but what came after it.

A few examples worth asking, depending on the moment:

  • How satisfied are you with your purchase?
  • Did the product meet your expectations?
  • Was checkout easy to complete?
  • Did your order arrive when expected?
  • Was the product information accurate?
  • How would you rate the delivery speed?
  • Was the product packaged well?
  • Have you had a chance to use the product yet, and was it easy to use?
  • Did you experience any problems?
  • What did you like most about it?
  • How would you rate the value for money?
  • How likely are you to recommend us to a friend or colleague?
  • What could we improve?
  • Would you buy from us again?

Timing matters here. Delivery and checkout questions can go out fast, right after the order arrives. Quality and usability questions are better held until the customer has actually had a chance to use what they bought - otherwise you're asking for an opinion they don't have yet.
