How CX Teams Use Structured Post-Purchase Feedback
By Dino Correia, Founder, Agaya Cloud
Most CX teams only hear from a customer when something’s gone wrong enough to prompt a ticket. That means the team is permanently working from a skewed sample - the complaints, not the much larger group of customers who were mildly disappointed and never said anything.
Proactive Outreach Before a Ticket Exists
A declared satisfaction score, collected shortly after delivery, catches dissatisfaction that would otherwise stay silent - a customer who wasn’t happy but wouldn’t have bothered filing a ticket. That gives CX teams a chance to reach out proactively, before the relationship sours further or the customer simply doesn’t reorder, instead of only ever responding after a complaint arrives.
Isolated Complaint or Systemic Issue?
One angry ticket is hard to interpret on its own - is this a one-off, or the first visible sign of a pattern? Structured, SKU-level feedback answers that by volume and theme: if the same complaint is showing up across a meaningful share of customers for one product, it’s systemic and worth escalating past a single ticket response. If it’s isolated, it can be handled as the individual case it is. Without that structured signal, a CX team is left making that judgment call ticket by ticket, from instinct.
CSAT That’s Actually Attributable
A single company-wide CSAT number is hard to act on - it doesn’t say which product, delivery experience, or support interaction is driving it up or down. Post-purchase feedback, tracked per SKU, turns CSAT into something a support and QA review can actually use: which specific products are dragging the score down, and whether a support issue is about the product itself or about the service around it.
Complementing the Helpdesk, Not Replacing It
This doesn’t replace Zendesk or whatever helpdesk a team already runs - tickets are still where individual issues get resolved. What structured post-purchase feedback adds is the layer helpdesks don’t capture: the much larger group of customers who never file a ticket at all, and whether they were actually satisfied.
TrueSignal gives CX teams a satisfaction signal from customers who’d otherwise never say anything - not a replacement for your helpdesk, the piece it’s missing. See how TrueSignal works.
