Survey Design & Pitfalls
What is the golden rule of asking good questions?
The short version: keep every question clear, neutral, relevant to one purpose, and easy to answer - and never phrase it in a way that nudges people toward the answer you want.
Keep it clear, neutral, relevant, and easy to answer. One question, one purpose - and don't steer people toward the answer you're hoping for. "How satisfied were you with the delivery?" beats "How excellent was our fast delivery?" every time. Skip vague timeframes and unnecessary complexity.
Before you include a question, ask yourself what decision the answer will actually support. And respect people's time: only ask what you genuinely need to know. Good questions leave room for an honest answer instead of angling for confirmation or praise.
